What to look for when adding a new employee to your team. The first thing in having success when bringing new employees on is to have the mindset of being a servant leader. In the interview process, look for two primary things. Look for character and skills and experience. Character is more important because skills can be trained. Be sure their character meets the job role and your expectations because character is not trainable.
Look twice. Consider interviewing more than once to be sure you find the right fit, and be willing to pay for quality.
Once you have brought someone on board, encourage character building by offering incentives and by demonstrating the desired character to your employees.
